If someone has told you that you'll just have to live with your hip pain — that you can't dance, run, lift, or move the way you used to — I'm here to tell you that's not true. And I know, because I've spent over a decade helping active women and performers just like you.
I get it too. I was a dancer growing up and know firsthand he demands you place on your body every day. You are strong, capable and you don't need another healthcare provider to tell you to rest.
I earned my Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Nazareth College in 2011, then spent my early career working with The Rochester City Ballet, Garth Fagan Dance Company, and Eastman School of Music. But it was working inside the traditional healthcare system that changed everything for me. I kept watching people get rushed, dismissed, and handed a generic plan that didn't fit their body or their goals and I knew there had to be a better way.
That's exactly why in 2016, I founded On Pointe Wellness and Rehab. Built entirely around giving you the kind of care you deserve, not the kind an insurance company will approve. That's why we've never accepted insurance, and never will. It's the only way I can guarantee you get real time, real answers, and a real plan.
Today, I also serve on the Board of Directors for the Manassas Ballet Theatre as their in-house Physical Therapist, sit on the advisory board for Doctors for Dancers, and I'm an active member of the International Association for Dance Medicine & Science (IADMS). I wrote Hip Impingement to Hope because I was tired of watching people with chronic hip pain get told surgery was their only option, when so often, it isn't.
If you're ready to stop guessing and finally get clear answers about what's really going on in your body, we'd be honored to be a part of your journey.. Your story doesn't end until you say it does.
